Entre 1964 e 1979 escritores e cineastas se manifestaram de diversas maneiras contra o regime militar. Podemos analisar o confronto em três momentos nítidos: antes do Ato Institucional nº.5; um segundo momento entre 1968-77 e depois do lançamento de "Em câmera lenta", de Renato Tapajós.
A cada um desses períodos, o imaginário dos escritores e cineastas foi a expressão de mais liberdade ou mais tolhimento até que o período de abertura “lenta e gradual” definiu uma nova política para o país.

Abstract: Writers and filmmakers manifested in diferents ways against the military regime between 1964 and 1979. We can analyze the confrontation in a well defined three moments: before the Ato Institucional n.5 (1964-68), a second period between 1968-77 and after the release of Renato Tapajós’s book Em câmera lenta. Each of these moments defines the imagination of writers and filmmakers in a way of more freedom of speech or more stunting until the so called period of the “abertura”, classified as "lenta e gradual", defined a new state policy.
